He will be banned immediately from the championship pending a hearing. Meanwhile is currently flying out to replace him.
“We were shocked by it,” Gatland informed a press conference in Kitakyushu on Wednesday.
“At the present time, these are allegations. Rob is devastated by the allegations.”
The Wales captain has been a part of the coaching group of Gatland since 2008.
Gatland included:”It took a little time to sink . It is how we turn a challenging situation.
“I texted Rob to observe just how he got home and that he had been OK.”

“After receptive training on Monday, we sat down with Rob. He was. The formal procedure will carry on back in Wales.
“There will be an investigation. It is a serious allegation. The investigation has not started. There are agencies. My focus is about doing it right.
“We have made a switch, and that I think we stay with this shift today. Stephen is now coming and he is in for the duration.”
