He goes on to speak about that winning target in 1998 saying it cost him the experience of enjoying with an extra 30 minutes at a Champions League final.
When youre in the present time and you are there youre just so focused because we are so fine as professional athletes, youve got to be more focused on your work, he told Sky Sports.
you cannot consider the magnitude of the occasion. And for me personally, the aim at the Champions League final its something that you dream of but once it was scored by me you were just in the moment. It is not as you can clarify.
We are so concentrated, and it ruined my dream of playing another half an hour in a Champions League last because when Teddy (Sheringham) equalised I thought:Wow, those 30 minutes of extra time will make me a much better player.
But then I felt that the goal and it didnt make me a much better player. Playing 30 minutes extra in a Champions league final would have been great experience for me personally but Id rather take the aim.
Plus, he also reveals his wrestling career in Norway, his love of old school songs and his signal in Kristiansund!
