A typhoon that influence Irelands World Cup campaign and may strike Japan on Saturday is being monitored by world Rugby.
Typhoon Hagibis has formed from the Western Pacific Ocean off the coast of Japan, with predictions suggesting it might hit the island of Kyushu that weekend.
Ireland face Samoa in the Kyushu city of Fukuoka on Saturday, where Joe Schmidts guys need a victory to secure their own place.
Since scoreless draws, making two things any games cancelled in the World Cup are enrolled.
That scenario would let Scotland the chance to leapfrog Ireland into position, if Gregor Townsends men conquer both Russia on Wednesday and hosts Japan on Sunday.
