This week, we’ve got a Fight Pass card in Singapore. Since it’s in Singapore, we must wake up at 4:30am ET to watch it live. I have set the alarm and that I will be up prepared to sweat these early struggles. DraftKings does not have many large tournaments this week so that I will personally be playing more cash games and less GPPs. I will still have 3 GPP lineups but a lot of my investment this week will probably be in cash games. But, There’s still money to be won so here are a few plays I enjoy and my fade of this week:
Money Game play of this week — Stack, Leon Edwards ($8,600) AND Donald Cerrone ($7,600)
Donald”Cowboy” Cerrone is not in a boring fight. Whether he wins or loses, his fights generally score as a whole and the winner nearly always pays off their cost in DraftKings. I usually search for 100 total points if I stack a struggle in cash and that I believe for this being a possible 5-rounds, it must assess well more than that. Should Edwards win this battle, it is probably an early KO, and if that happens he will score quite large. If Cerrone wins, he can lock up a entry or a knockout which will readily 10x his price tag of $7.6k. But either way, you’ve got the winner in your lineup and the ensured 30-90 win bonus points should you pile. I think this fight will be fun as long as it lasts and there ought to be a fantastic number of points added up until one of these two get finished. If this does go 5 rounds, then these two should nevertheless get over 100 total points together with the speed Cowboy brings to the table.
GPP drama of this week — Li Jingliang ($9,200)
Li Jingliang always puts on a show when he measures in the Octagon. He is a quick pace fighter who scores well on DraftKings if he wins. I think he must be the fighter wherever this struggle ends up against Abe. I also believe he can finish this fight on the feet or the floor and if that happens he would probably pay off his high price tag of $9.2k. He’s the 3rd most expensive fighter on the card and I think he’s the maximum ceiling. That’s what we want in GPPs is a high ceiling, so that’s the reason why Jingliang is my GPP play of the week.
Underdog drama of this week — Song Yadong ($7,900)
Song Yadong is my favorite DraftKings”underdog” this week. His betting line has shifted to him being a small favorite at -120 but he is $400 cheaper than his opponent. I think saving that $400 is a fantastic transfer in cash or GPP games so I enjoy Yadong in all formats. I think Yadong will look to keep this fight on the feet and search for that KO win. If he does get the win, then ” I think he must easily pay off that price tag and receive at least 10x.
Fade of the week — Viviane Pereira ($8,800)
My main difficulty with Pereira is that she is too pricey. At $8.8k, I need at least 88 points from her and I believe she needs get an end to do that. I really don’t see that happening and does Vegas with a +617 ITD line. She does not strike at a high enough pace or territory enough takedowns to score 88 points in my opinion. In her 2 UFC wins she held her opponent against the fence to get a fantastic section of the fight and no issues have been scored when that happens. If she does that again here, there’s absolutely no way she even comes close to 88 points even with a win. I have a complete fade on Pereira this week and I will compensate for different favorites instead.
