(CNN) — Major League Baseball allegedly has warned its players that over-the-counter sexual supplements may contain banned ingredients which would lead to failed performance enhancing drugs tests.
ESPN obtained a memo delivered by the league officer.
The memo states in part thatthese goods are usually contaminated with banned and unsafe ingredients, ESPN documented.
CNN requested the Major League Baseball Players Association and Major League Baseball . The league said it does not create memos into clubs.
The usage of sexual efficiency enhancement tablets located at convenience stores — is more prevalent among baseball players, ESPN reported citing unnamed sources.
The US Food and Drug Administration has warned the public in the past about using non-regulated penile enhancement solutions.
Donald D. Ashley, director of the Office of Compliance in the FDAs Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, told CNN last year thatthat the FDA was combating the retail sale of penile enhancement drug products which are frequently misrepresented as dietary supplements which include hidden and possibly harmful active drug components.
