Before they struck their 100+ year old curse a few seasons past, a reduction in September would have gathered off the Chicago Cubs and their supporters like water on a duck’s back. That all changed following Tuesday’s setback to the Cincinnati Reds fell the Cubs with the Brewers to its NL Wild Card that was next to a tie.
Cincinnati’s win helped the Reds to the rubber game of their group on Wednesday, and assembly of 2019 as the nightclubs head into the season series title with Chicago. Cincinnati was come in by both of his starts this season against the Reds, those outings being split by the Cubs. Eugenio Suarez has enjoyed confronting Lester, moving deep five occasions and batting .359 at 39 career .
The series wraps up with Tony Randazzo in the dish, the veteran umpire 10-8 O/U in 2019 after five of his final seven plate missions hurdled the totals. It’s the Chicago native’s first time at the dish at Wrigley since Game 5 of this 2016 World Series, a Cubs triumph. 1 note is home favorites around -180 are this year with Randazzo calling strikes and balls.
