Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Sammy Watkins set career highs for receiving yards (198) and touchdowns (three) in his team’s opening game of this season.
Watkinsin his second year with all the Chiefs, started off his monster afternoon using a 68-yard touchdown.
And he didn’t wait to include his second, hauling at a pass from last year’s NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes.
Afterwards, using a three-yard catch, Watkins capped his trio of TDs in the next quarter as Kansas City proceeded to conquer the Jacksonville Jaguars 40-26.
Were they amounts single-game bests for its 26-year-old, but also the 198-yard total was the history.
