Scotlands Euro 2020 qualifying effort has been a pretty miserable disaster, with the guys currently sitting in Group I. under Cyprus and Kazakhstan of Steve Clarke
But using a Nations League in the bag, Im certain Scotland fans were mentally after drawing Russia and Belgium writing off this group. They are not too great, but you would have to imagine they would be a touch better that what we have seen up to now, if Scotland did not have their security net.
There are no such problems for Russia. Following their excellent showing in the World Cup–at which, despite being hosts, so a lot of individuals totally wrote off them –Stanislav Cherchesov has continued his job, along with his negative, barring a disaster, would be equally as good as at the hat for 2020.
It was not especially difficult to decide on hints for this particular one.
Russia havent conceded a home goal in their past five home games that were aggressive, although Scotland fired blanks in addition to sticking only two.
The hosts have won their past five games, as well as Scotland dropping their last three (including a 2-1 home defeat to Thursdays hosts), Im expecting Russia to win .
As a cheeky longshot, a 2-0 home win is priced at 6/1; though Russia only beat Kazakhstan and Cyprus 1-0 on home soil, Scotlands defence–who have conceded 13 goals compared to the nine and half of Kazakhstan and Cyprus respectively–is equally weak, that is why the price is still tempting. ??
