The Oscars are a opportunity to see Hollywood’s brightest stars receive accolades for their work within the past year, listen to approval speeches of the great, bad and sometimes long ranges, and, for many people, a chance to make some friendly wagers. For amusement purposes only of course.
Betting on the Oscars remains prohibited in places like Las Vegas, even as lawful gambling has expanded in the US lately. Gambling on occasions with predetermined outcomes is never sanctioned there. But that doesn’t mean that there aren’t chances being laid on the display. We looked at the site GoldDerby to find out who is a favorite (or a favorite ) and who is a longshot.
